murder-3A Rainy Day Murder is racing toward a conclusion.

In this book, Hetty Fox is off to Chicago to visit an old friend. It’s a holiday she’s been anticipating for some time,  but little goes to plan. Andrew fails to follow orders. Blackie refuses to play nice with the kids. And a corpse, no matter where it’s found, almost never improves an outing.

Meanwhile, feeling a bit out of her element in the big city, Hetty doubts she’ll be able to help police solve this crime. After all hunting a murderer in Chicago is hardly like following clues and gossip in a small town. But  when police turn their attention to the victim’s grown children, Hetty feels compelled to try to sort out the killing, which leads her to one of the biggest challenges of her detecting life.
